For her future she would like to help people. To help build her dream life in helping people, she has decided to fulfill that dream by becoming a nurse to ensure she can make an impact on people’s lives every day.
I am thrilled to announce my nomination of Jordan Forir has been accepting for the Inspiring Teens Magazine, Issue 55!!! I am seeking your help in allowing Jordan to get the Cover of the issue and a Scholarship! The photo above has been chosen as a personal favorite among the amazing staff at the magazine. The people working hard behind the scenes at this wonderful magazine are so sweet and do amazing work with all the neat opportunities for young teens. You may be confused and wondering what is this awesome opportunity? Let me explain...
What is Inspiring Teens Magazine?
Inspiring Teens is an organization that runs teen leadership programs for teens across the globe out of their Warrington, PA, USA studio.
They are a publication that also offer scholarships and leadership opportunities for teens.
Inspiring Teens is a "by teens for teens" organization that is overseen by adults. As a whole, they focus on leadership and volunteering. The Inspire Team is a team of teens from around the world. The magazine is ran by the Inspire Team. Teens in the leadership programs, on the Inspire Team and in the magazine have raised over $100,000 for nonprofits since 2012, and given away over $95,000 in teen scholarships since 2019. Teens in the Inspire Team have hosted conferences both in person for teens in the US, and through zoom for teens across the world. They also host monthly challenges in fitness, photography, video, and more; and connect to make the world a much smaller place.
Wow!!! I mean just wow they are doing such wonderful strides to giving back.
But, Wait! How Do I Become a Inspiring Teen?
To nominate a teen simply click the link and scroll down to the form. There is just a short form to fill out and submit a photo of the teen. Have to have parent/guardian permission (and photographer permission for photo) in order to nominate the amazing teen. By filling out the form you are just telling them a little bit about the inspiring teen.
If their nomination is accepted they will get an opportunity for:
a place on the 2022 Inspiring Teens National or International Team
The Front or Back Cover of a magazine issue
or best of all a SCHOLARSHIP!!
Requirements:
Teens cannot win more than $1000 in a year's time
Teen must be between 13-19 years old at the time of the contest to win a scholarship
Issue 55 - Who Will WIN the Cover & Scholarship??
The overall winner will be on the cover and win a scholarship*!
Here is how you can help Jordan out. By voting!!! Each vote is a $5 donation* per vote. This money is the fundraiser to help provide the fund for the teens scholarships (yes they give out several each issue) and the production of the printed magazine.
5 votes: Get a quarter page in the magazine & in the lineup for IT Girl or Guy of the day on Social Media
15 Votes: Move up to a half page in the magazine with image and nomination
25 Votes: Get a full page in the magazine for image and nomination and their mini interview on the blog
50 Votes: Get a full spread in the magazine for image with interview and become a member of our International Leadership Team
100 Votes: Get 2 spreads in the magazine and become eligible to win a Scholarship
200 Votes: Get 3 spreads in the magazine and receive an Icon Status Recognition Award
Teens are eliminated from the chance of winning the cover and scholarships by not moving up a level within a week. There are 5 levels in total and voting lasts a little over 4 weeks. Level 1 (5-24 votes), level 2 (25-49 votes), level 3 (50-99 votes), level 4 (100-199 votes), and level 5 (200+ votes). Level 1-4 have a week to move up before eliminated and then level 5 is only opened another 2 days after the 4 week. Winners are announced the following week. Your support and voting is very valuable to the teens in supporting them.
*The winner of the cover and scholarship is the teen with the most votes at the end of the contest. * Proceeds of this contest go to the production of this magazine, scholarships & prizes, and our teen programs and conferences. * Teens do not have to participate in our fundraiser to be published after accepting their nomination and have already been notified how amazing they are. * Winner's scholarship amount starts at 10% of the total proceeds, but cannot exceed $1000. * Teens must be between ages 13-19 to win a scholarship and cannot win more than $1000 in a year's time.
Thank you for helping Jordan and other teens out!
There is a leader board to follow up and see what level each teen is at along the way. The board will not be updated some parts of the way so the suspense can set in a bit. Although the nominated teen and parent/guardian will be updated with the actually number of votes. If their name is in light gray you can read their interview (which is always a fun read); and they are listed in order as they reached the level, not order they fall in via votes.
A little pick into Jordan's Interview:
What sports do you play?
I play softball, and track during the school year, in my free time I do dance and soccer!
What is one of your biggest accomplishments within one of the sports?
My biggest sports accomplishment is from track and field state last year, I made it to state with my 4x800 team and we finished 12th overall!!
What made you decide to become a nurse?
I decided to pursue nursing after I came to the realization that I enjoy helping people, I love being able to help in any way shape or form so what better way to do that than to quite literally save lives!
How did you find and why did you choose Sabrina Jones for your photographer? What was your experience like? What did you love most about it?
In early August of last year Sabrina needed a model to do a shoot for her, so I reached out and we shot the next day!! Working with Sabrina was honestly a dream it was so comfortable and so fun I truly had an amazing experience!
What inspiring things about you does your nomination not cover?
My nomination does not cover my journey in life, I had to grow up at a very young age and I had to raise myself and my younger brother. I’m doing much better for myself and my brother we are now recently adopted and living our best lives.
What is the hardest thing you have ever accomplished, and how did you do it?
The hardest thing I’ve accomplished is standing up to the person that hurt me most, I’m the most non-confrontational person you’ll ever met so this was a huge step for me!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be where you are today?
My best advice would honestly be to live your life one day at a time, don’t always have a plan for every little thing, let life take you on its own journey!
Do you have a hidden talent? What is it?
My hidden talent is that I can sing really well!
3 Things on your bucket list
1. Visit bora bora
2. Sing on a big stage
3. Meet Bruno Mars!
What about you inspires others/why do you think you are inspiring?
I think I’m inspiring because my life isn’t sunshine and rainbows but, I’m still positive no matter the storm!
These are just a few and you can read the whole interview HERE!
